The vision for 6G is built on the desire to create a seamless reality where the digital and physical worlds as we know them today have merged. This merged reality of the future will provide new ways of meeting and interacting with other people, new possibilities to work from anywhere and new ways to experience faraway places and cultures. By delivering ever-present intelligent communication, 6G will contribute to the creation of a more human-friendly, sustainable and efficient society.
We know that 6G networks will have a massive network of IoT and MTC devices that connect homes, cities, and factories with several data transactions between the networked entities. Moreover, a survey predicts that there will be 50 billion connected devices IoE during the 6G network era. In that context, there should have trust among the devices to facilitate secure data transfer. To build such trust and security, the blockchain allows maintaining a sequential ledger (chain of blocks) by each node wherein if any user does the modification of data within a block, it will be visible to and shall be authenticated by everyone else to prevent falsification.
Learn more about INOI BlockchainAt INOI we are strong believers that the early phase of research should be precompetitive in nature, enabling close collaboration with academia and within the industry, leading to openly available published outcomes. Later, as we move to the pre-standards phase and on to full competition, companies will choose to champion certain basic technologies and further tune and reduce them to practice internally. Several of the research collaborations we are participating in, including the Hexa-X project, IMT-2030 and the Next G Alliance, are exploring potential technologies to enable the cyber-physical world and limitless connectivity.
6G is going to bring together physical and cyber worlds and create paradigm shifting living style in Metaverse. At INOI R&D we are researching tech that can bring this future into our daily lives including future AR & VR devices.
6G will continue the journey started by 5G to connect everything, but it will do so with a broader variety of devices, new HMIs, higher density of connections, and native trustworthiness. At INOI R&D we are looking at the new use cases in the 6G era and the devices that will enable it.
